"The Declaration of Independence acknowledges God as Creator, Lawgiver, 'Supreme Judge of the World,' and the one who providentially superintends the affairs of man. I join the Founders in personally acknowledging the importance of Almighty God's fixed moral standards for restoring the moral fabric of this nation." - John Adams

Oh yeah and they were HAWT too! it was a great game and I thank you and Bob for the invite and the brew....AWESOME day it was.

BTW, the two prosecutors left that game feeling appreciated I think. You and I both thanked them for what they do and they seemed to really appreciate the acknowledgement.

It was kind of loud in the stadium, when you told me they were prosecutors, I thought you said "These two are prostitutes"....I would have spent a fortune.....LOL

Until the state passes laws allowing itself to truly compete against the private sector (in the category of educated professionals anyway), this dilemma will always exist. You have to hire quality people in order to get consistently good results, and you have to compensate them accordingly. If not, they will simply say, "Good day."

I suppose that is far too complex of a concept for the governator and the legislative goons to understand. Better to spend the money on more handouts for the chronically lazy!

As someone who'se worked in-house for local government - we are routinely expected to work for free. Leaving aside the fact that the big-wigs don't expect the same treatment themselves, there is just no way we can keep up with all the deadlines. Notices have to be served and cases brought within time limits. You miss the time limit and the other side can say our delay has prejudiced their case.

Everyone gets on government workers - but we (well, "we" until about 2 weeks ago when I got fed up) work for managers who can't manage and try to pile on more and more work on employees - so they can be seen as big budget cutters. The reality is they're nothing more than piss takers.

The public sector drives anyone with talent or ambition out because only the people cruising to retirement with their virtually tenured jobs can take the BS.

Having said that, if you outsource it to private practice, they too take the piss and rip off the taxpayer...
