Anti Israeli Protest In Los Angeles Full of Hate
Anyone here remember the story of David and Goliath? Here’s a quick recap:
· Philistines challenge Israel,
· Israel sees Goliath and is afraid,
· A young shepherd boy steps up,
· Meets the giant on the battle field,
· Giant mocks God,
· Shepherd boy mocks the giant,
· Goliath gets mad and moves toward David,
· David runs to meet the giant,
· David hurls a stone and plants it into the forehead of the giant,
· Giant falls,
· Dave kills the giant, cuts his head off and shows it to the Philistines,
· Philistines run away.
You can read the full account here. Take the time; it’s a fun story to read.
Yesterday, along with some fellow conservative Bloggers, I had the opportunity to attend an Anti-Israeli protest organized by a group called ‘Act Now to Stop War and End Racism’ (A.N.S.W.E.R.).
Until this morning, I wasn’t too familiar with this group, other than I knew they represented communist and socialist groups in America. But after doing a little research, I discovered we were about ‘30 Davids’ standing against a giant Goliath yesterday.
ANSWER’s anti-Semitic rhetoric has been a beacon of what they stand for since their founding September 14, 2001, 3 days after 9/11/2001. Hmmm, what does that tell you?
In spite of their noble sounding name, these folks are all about hate; hatred of Jews, but more importantly, hatred of the United States and the Freedom that affords them the very right to hate and protest.
Some of the signs that were displayed by the protestors included references to genocide and Nazis, while verbal assaults heard by me and others referenced the annihilation of Jews and unbelievably “fire up the ovens.”
Ironically, in one example they are accusing Jews/Americans of being Nazis, while advocating the atrocities committed against the Jews by said Nazis re: Fire up the ovens.
As an American and Veteran, I struggle to wrap my mind around how these people can allow themselves to travel down a road toward complete anarchy without regard to the builders of the road or the Country where the road exists.
Most of the protestors yesterday seemed to be young; High School/ College aged individuals who provide a fertile field for influence and propaganda. Because of their relative young age and naiveté, they are certainly the most vulnerable to smooth talking professors with personal agendas.
There were also quite a few middle easterners that used the opportunity to publically express their hatred for Israel, which makes me ask this question: “if someone is not a citizen of the United States, why do we allow them to come here and protest?” [I am reminded of the protests a couple years ago attended by illegal immigrants seeking Civil Rights].
The freedoms we enjoy as Americans are so easily taken for granted by those who have no appreciation of the price paid for those freedoms, yet we continue to allow this thing to happen.
Needless to say, groups like ANSWER who seek to undermine and ultimately destroy our nation at its core must be challenged and confronted at every opportunity. For too long, conservatives have turned a blind eye; assuming that if ignored, they would go away. On the contrary, because we have ignored these ‘weeds in the front yard of our Nation’, they have grown to be formidable adversaries, destroying the entire landscape of the United States.
For every Freedom there comes a responsibility, and the First Amendment is no exception.

This is disgusting. These “people” are a disgrace and an embarrassment. If they hate the Jews and the US so much, maybe they should just take their liberal asses over to Iran or Iraq and see how much they like it over there.

Well Gawfer I hated I couldn’t attend, I am sorry for backing out but paying the bills right now is a little more important than pissing off a bunch of idiots….
ANSWER and my family have a little history, at the GOE 1 in DC, we saw some action with a few of them, they are a communist organization that uses anarchists as their foot soldiers. Those are my favorite targets, the ones that cover their faces and throw things, they are also the ones with the most offensive signs.
Good for you for going Bro, again sorry I couldn’t be there.

I also remember the 6 Day War of 1967. God is on Israel’s side.

Hi Gawfer,
We also participated in a pro-Israel rally yesterday here on Florida’s Space Coast. Fortunately, there were no demonstrators from the pro-Palestinian side. It was a peaceful show of support for Israel and everything that’s right and just.
Bless you for having the courage of your conviction. If our nation survives, it will be because of folks like you who care enough to take necessary and appropriate action.
Pray for America and Israel. The labor pains have begun.
Andrea

I am sure had I gone and started chanting off with their heads. I’d have been arrested for hate speech.
Makes me sick. And you are right G, schools allow these groups to permeate them and spread their sick and twisted anti-American agenda.

And here’s another commonality with them: they are comprised of Guilty Overeducated White People (GOWPs) who HAVE the time to protest BECAUSE they either don’t have a job, or are supported by either their:
1. Parents
2. Government
3. University tenure
Imagine that.

I was there with Gawfer, Shane, Eric and the others on Saturday. I was not there for the pro-Israel demonstration Sunday. What is instructive is that of all the protesters who were arrested both days, all were hamas supporters. In short, our side acted like civilized people and cooperated with police.

Gawfer: A professor of history in my department is a local chapter organizer with L.A.’s ANSWER. We have posters up and down the halls about Obama inaugural celebrations, right up there next to Bush = Hitler protest photos.
You’ve pretty much got these folks pegged.

This story makes me sad. I feel the tears running down my cheeks to read such deplorably horrid signs and remarks/chants such as:Fire up the ovens! Oh my! I have phsically been at Dachau in Germany and toured through the crematory where “the ovens” we used. I can’t even describe the gut awful feelings that me and CyberPastor felt while there. If these people could only walk 1/10 of a mile in a Holocaust Victims shoes, would they still hate Jews? I am sickened and appalled, but we must put the work out there and keep ringing the alarm bell till the Savior returns. Oy.
