It is indeed a sad state of affairs, and here’s some other nifty beliefs that I hold:

-It’s not going to get better any time soon.
-The left has succeeded enough to royally screw up this nation for decades to come.
-obama represents the core beliefs of the left: big government, higher taxes, and incompetent leadership.

I’m NOT a big fan of McCain, especially his stance on the border catastrophe, but I would much rather see him at the helm of our nation than obama. I think McCain would do the least damage.

I agree Rob. I was thinking about how McCain made it to the forefront so quickly, and then I remembered how it came down. Most of the decent candidates dropped out before we even had a chance to vote in our primaries, and Huckabee threw a wrench in the machinery by staying in just long enough to force Romney out.

I think what we witnessed was the GOP deciding early on that McCain was the man… perhaps even as far back as the 2000 election when he first ran. It didn’t matter that Hunter or Thompson had the curb appeal to the base.

In the past, I advocated a national primary, to be held the first Tuesday in May; noon to midnight EST, 9:00am to 9:00pm PST, and 6:00am to 6:00pm in Hawaii. Same time frame everywhere, and every vote counts.

All the candidates run, everywhere and we as a party decide equally. No more of the crap where a candidate doesn’t do well in New Hampshire so they drop out before the rest of the nation has a say.

I believe that is how we’ll take our party back from the bureaucrats.

I wish that the left was as adamant about Hussein Obama as a lot of us are about McCain. McCain is NOT the leader I want in the W.H He is not the man I want deciding our future. BUT he is the better of the two and I will reluctantly check his name.

I also think WE as “Right” minded thinkers need to take a lesson from this and NOT allow this to happen again. WE need a choice We need a difference between the two that stands out. We deserve it but WE have let complacency take root and our libtards have taken advantage of it.

I agree, we must stand behind what we consider the best choice. Refusing to vote or writting in will only help Nobama. I do wish we had a better candidate, but it is what it is. rgrolands last blog post..Fay is teasing us
